Ready my quick eating description and rush to the kitchen! You won’t regret it…
4th of July fruit salad
- 150g strawberries
- 50g blueberries
- 100g cottage cheese or natural yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 2 teaspoon honey (*)
Take a small bowl. Mix natural yoghurt or cottage cheese with lemon juice and chia seeds. You may add 2 teaspoon of honey, if you prefer it more sugary. Whether you use cottage cheese, it’s good using blender to keep the mixture smooth. Let the white cream rest for 10-15 minutes in the fridge so that chia seeds can bloat. Prepare a sharp knife and slice strawberries. Put the berries on a plate. Try to create an American flag. Place bluberries in the upper left corner and make straight lines of strawberries. Add the white yoghurt mixture making white ‚flag stripes’ and ‚stars’ on the fruit.
Should you be in hurry, it’s possible to miss the step with cooling the mixture in the fridge. You can pour it on the plate as soon as you put your fruit. Then, you can keep your dish in the fridge to make chia seeds double their volume.
